Geophysical researches in the Arctic

This paper is an attempt to present a review of the investigations of geophysical processes in the Arctic having been conducted during last years in the MSTU. The basic object of the researches are the physical processes taking place in the near-Earth space above the Arctic, as well as on the global scale, influencing on operation of the space rockets and satellites, radiotechnical systems and long lines of energy transfer. A conclusion has been made that the researches of the geophysical processes in the Arctic conducted at the MSTU are complex, made at high scientific level using the modern computer methods, and very cooperative.

On informational evaluation of efficiency of ship key operation assured planning

The conditions of assured planning of quasi-safe ship key operation have been formed in the paper, the integral characteristics of changeability of this operation state within the accepted plan has been proposed. On the basis of this changeability characteristics the informational evaluation has been worked out. It characterizes the degree of the plan positive completeness on the stage of realization of the assured plan of the ship key operation.

On optimum navigation in ice conditions. Using of thermal radar

In this paper software agents' communication models and algorithms in the virtual business environment have been proposed. They allow to reduce response time on any changes of environment imitating the innovation field due to increase of data exchange between the agents and reduction of general network load. Two mechanisms for conversion of inter-node agent communications to intra-node agent communications and dynamic agent distribution have been represented. Various implementation approaches for agent communication and interaction mechanisms have been considered. Methods for effectiveness increase of data exchange between mobile agents in the distributed system for information support of innovations have been proposed. Data exchange mechanisms between software agents in the virtual business environment based on agent address structure extension and using of middle-agents brokering and matchmaking services have been minutely described.

Peculiarities of radiocommunication at navigation in the northern part of marine area A4

The work contains researches concerning statistic course recording data analysis for detection of different regimes in the dynamic "ship – sea" system, and plans directions of further investigations. The special attention has been paid to application of statistic analysis to course recording data processing and detection of unsafe regimes. The conclusions have been corroborated by a large amount of course recording data analyzed.

Innovative polarization antenna for radiocommunication in high latitudes (Navigation safety in Arctic)

The problem of loss of antenna systems' efficiency due to the so-called polarization mismatch is extremely relevant for the high-latitude radio paths. This is especially important when operating in the UHF band in a rocking vessel. The problem of using the structures of active vibrators on the basis of Z-elements as receiving and transmitting antennas with possibilities of rapid changes in the plane of polarization of the received/radiated signal has been solved.
